Yes, I have the Barrett-Jackson car. It originally was titled in Marina del Rey, CA by the first owner. He put 455 miles on it, the interior still smells new and the tires don't show any wear. Not a scratch to be found. I heard from friends at home that Speed Channel didn't show the car crossing the block, it's too bad. Lots of people at the auction liked the it, but no one knew what it was. Seller was thinking it'd go much higher, probably just the wrong auction for this car.

Just FYI - the BOV doesn't control boost. What the BOV does is release the extra pressure in the piping between the turbo and the throttle body when the throttle blade snaps shut. This is so that the compressor wheel in the turbo doesn't see a pressure surge when you let off the throttle - if the pressure surge is strong enough, it could actually stall the compressor wheel, which is bad for the turbo bearings, and also will increase the amount of lag you get when you get back on the gas, since the wheels have to spin up from a standstill.

Boost is controlled by the wastegates, which are controlled by a boost controller. If I remember correctly, some of the early Rossions had manual boost controllers, and the later ones had standalone electronic boost controllers.

Appreciate the lesson, Jim. Does your company sell a bolt-on bov solution for the Q1? I've only seen one photo of a car with a welded on flange for the bov. I can weld, just not sure I want to modify a factory piece like that.

You could add BOV to the hose section after IC and before MAF so there is no welding required.
Listen to Jimbo. BOV is very important. I had turbo impeller blades shattered from turbo surge. That shock wave of air is like hitting a rock. Based on that experience alone I would not drive a turbo car without BOV.

Sorry, photos of the BOV set up between the IC and MAF.

My BOV is welded on IC like most Rossions. But you could have BOV located on a section of beaded pipe in the IC hose and it will be as effective. If this is hard to imagine, Google images of 1990-1994 Turbo Eclipses, those cars had this exact BOV arrangement.

BTW, you probably should start BOV thread.
