I saw you can order ABS and traction control. That's one thing I love about my car. It does NOT have any of the electronic babysitters unlike every other super car out there.

Personally, I share your opinion about babysitters, Docbrad. The Nobles/Rossions are so controllable, they don't need babysitters, IMO.

However, I'm glad my family's other vehicles have babysitters for my wife. That said, ABS always startles me when it kicks in while braking downhill over a wet manhole cover in my Suburban.

Yesterday when buying parts on the phone I had a great conversation with Jason in sales. He represented the brand well and answered all my Noble/Rossion questions. It is exciting to see all the changes you are rolling out.

I did stop by the Rossion/ Mosler shop last spring. Got to take a look at the Q1R four cylinder. Looked like a total bargain if you are thinking local club racing/ track days. IIRC, there are some suspension mods (lots more negative camber which is due to different control arms) that would be difficult to live with on the street, but otherwise it was basically a stripped Q1 with safety mods. For $69k a total bargain IMHO for high end full bodied racing. Parts should be way cheaper than a Porsche, etc. Only issue is if you are into SCCA/etc. you might have class issues (there won't be one). Having said that, I raced a Corvette as "exhibition class" for several years as a PCA member and I probably had more fun than trying to stay perfectly class competative. I just showed up and raced so not having a class is not the end of the world. I believe Grapeman/Robert has the most experience regarding racing a Noble, perhaps he could chime in on costs and classes.

Also: I tore up a perfectly nice car and turned it into a race car. I will never do that again. If you want to race for real: just buy a race car even if it's a spec Miata or a kart. Don't tear up your nice car. It will cost a little more up front, but will be worth it on the back end.
