Default Brake Components, Part Numbers, Sources, etc.

Figured the FAQ we use is on PH, and it's a bit dated and lacking real info, time to add relevant info. This isn't so much about what is best, but where and how to get replacement parts.
As I understand it, both Nobles and Rossions share brake components, EXCEPT the rotor hats.
I'll update this thread as I get more info. I'm doing this for both myself and others.

    BRAKE PADS
Pagid, Hawk, Ferodo -- all make pads for these calipers. There are likely more.

    Part Numbers:
Fronts - Need 55mm pads for the AP Caliper #CP6600
Rears - Need 46mm pads for the AP Caliper #CP6600

    Where to get them:
You can get them from several places.

BRAKE ROTOR DISCS AND HATS (Front Only):
    Ring Size:
    330mm x 30mm

    Part Numbers:
    Rings - CP3580-1131 CR8 TT, CP3580-1130 CR8 TT
    Hats - Unknown

    Where to get them:

Willy has been my source. Unknown where else.
Rossion owners can get theirs from Willy or Rossion.

    BRAKE ROTOR KIT (Formerly: CP3580-1130-CR8 & CP3580-1131-CR8)
    Part Numbers:
Fronts - Currently being redesigned by AP Racing
    Rears - M12BRA32 & M12BRA33

    Where to get them:
    TBD

    PARKING BRAKE REBUILD / SHOE
    Part Numbers:
    TBD

    Where to get them:

Only place I've seen them is online at South West Lotus Center.
    http://www.thelotuscentreonline.co.uk/epages/sdctukef2v6v.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/sdctukef2v6v/Products/M12BRA44

    CALIPER REBUILD KIT
Front and rear calipers use the same seals. Each rebuild kit has two seals per part number, but since the calipers use two different sized pistons, you need each part number.
If you are rebuilding all four calipers, you need two of each part number, if you are rebuilding one caliper, order one of each part number -- you'll just have spare seals for another caliper.

    Part Numbers:

    CP4525-EH
    CP4525-JK

    Where to get them:
    https://www.tmsmotorsport.co.uk/kit-sib-1-50x1-62-cp4525-jk?search=CP4525-JK
    https://www.tmsmotorsport.co.uk/kit-...arch=CP4525-eh

MASTER CYLINDER AND BOOSTER / SERVO
From what I understand, these are an AP Racing unit, shipped as one item. OEM master cylinder is 7/8" (0.875)

    Part Numbers:
    CP3627-11
CP3627-101C (what was on my M400)
    xref: CP4627 (not 100% accurate)
    Rebuild Kit: CP3627-21RK

    Where to get them:
    TBD

    Rebuild Instructions:
    https://www.apracing.com/Info.aspx?I...&ProductID=998

BRAKE BOOSTER / SERVO (Not available, it seems)
    Per this thread (http://www.nobleforums.com/showthrea...ter-for-brakes)

    Part Numbers:

    GSM90152

    Where to get them:
    TBD

PROPORTIONING VALVE (Attached to the rear brake line
Mine had a Ford emblem on it, but I can't determine where it comes from. I'd guess Ford Contour / Mondeo, but that might be a stretch.

    Part Numbers:

    TBD

    Where to get them:
    TBD

    BRAKE LINES
Best option for these is to have them custom built. The hard lines can be purchased at a local part store and fabbed up. Bring your old flexible lines to a hose shop and have them recreate.

    EMERGENCY BRAKE CABLES
Best option for these is to have them custom built. https://www.controlcables.com/ is an option.

Below is the dimensions for the passenger/right side cable. The driver/left side is a different length, just not sure by how much.

This needs to be a sticky so we can add to it with other parts and part numbers.

I've hunted around and can't seem to find a master cylinder replacement.

I'm going to start looking into an OEM replacement -- something that won't shutter it's doors or stop production (ie. AP Racing). I'll likely lean towards Honda, since my drivetrain is honda -- but the goal is to match the piston size (13/16), and have it small enough to fit the same area of the Noble/AP unit.

Mainly doing this because my brakes have never felt good and immediately get spongy after a session of tracking. Rebuilt the calipers. Still bad. So, next stop (no pun) is the master cylinder.

I think you are on the wrong track
Give me a little more info, They start out fine and then get spongy.

What fluid are you using, what pads, what rotors

I installed a replacement master cylinder and booster yesterday from a 88-91 CRX. This is NOT a direct swap, as it required trimming and such.
I will continue to see if there's a common master cylinder replacement for the AP unit on the Noble booster. Downside is, the master cylinder is small (13/16") and has left hand ports -- not a whole lot of options out there with that combination.

BUT, my brakes work a helluva lot better and now I have a local source for master cylinders. I actually have a fair bit of confidence in the braking system now.

Fluid is motul, Hawk pads, standard rotors.
I removed the AP racing master, and bench bled it to see what the lines were doing -- the rear brake port was dripping small drops, while the front port was spewing fluid. This suggested the master cylinder was not working appropriately.

A heads up that the master is a 7/8 (.875") bore. The bore size is etched on the bottom of the master as 0875 followed by the part number CP3627-101C. Also be aware that not all model CP3627-101C masters have the same bore size. For example this master was also used in some Lotus's. For those applications the bore was only 13/16 (.8125).

Driven, check this link out, https://www.ebay.com/itm/HONDA-S2000...IAAOSwcrxZcnsx

This is an OEM AP brake cylinder for Honda s2000. would you consider this to be better than or the same as the AP CP3627-101C?
