I'm getting the roof antenna (Dean calls it the "rc aerial").

One of the biggest decisions is the engine/tranny installer. The two best ways are:

1. Go with a reputable, experienced installer
2. Go with a trusted installer near you

There are advantages and disadvantages to each, and it's important to consider them before making a decision.

I've heard some GREAT things about Greg Robb, who has done a lot of Nobles. I'm sure there are some other good ones as well.

I'm personally glad I went with a local installer though. The guy I got to do my install is great, and I get to see the build up process, step by step. My car will be done exactly like I want it this way.

I live in the Boston area and consequently, I'm going to "KTR European Motorsports" for the install because they are both local and have completed several Noble installations. I want someone who knows and understand my car so I can go back for service when needed and feel comfortable with the type of service I'm getting. KTR has some incredible cars on the floor including Ferrari, Porche, Lamborghini, Lotus, etc., so I know I can trust them.

Have you listened to a Noble both with and without the RC aerial??? I was going to have one installed but the guy at Atlantic Sports Car Company in Boston talked me out of it. He thought the RC impaired the looks and made washing the car difficult. The typical hidden location which is in front of the passenger compartment, didn't appear to pull in many stations.

I also believe a local installer is the way to go, if possible. As an engineer, and after building some race cars myself, I felt a lot better about the process when I could easily communicate about the project and see what was going on as the car came together. Another plus is good communication between your installer and the crew at 1g.

I agree with Joel, 400%.

Having used one of the installers near 1G, I would, without a doubt, not do this again and use a local installer. You can definitely keep an eye on things, plus you have your warranty service provider already trained. I would love to do it all over again and implement everything I learned to build a perfect car. I don't have experience yet, but I'll be posting when I do get mine in. I didn't order the stock stereo (since you get can a way WAY nicer system for less). I picked up one of these amplified under-hood antennas:

Brian, I looked at the Noble there as well and will be ordering from Roy. If you didn't take the "full" tour of that place I suggest you do! If someone else around Mass and interested in a Noble wants to see it and spend an hour or two in the surrounded by some of the rarest, neatest, fastest cars in the world I would highly recommend the trip. The place is Toys R Us for the grown up gear head. The staff is amazing as well.

If you decide on an M400, be sure to decide if you want:

1. Standard: no front splitter
2. Optional: the front splitter from the GTO-3R
3. Aftermarket: the thinner, two piece front splitter
