i was watching the miatas racing on Sunday.
they were on each others butts for 20 minutes.
One SP car couldn't get past them because the turns came up!!!!

Well...these are NASA E3 enduros in a Spec Miata...125hp on a good day with a tailwind...not exactly in the spirit of this thread here...

we are making ground on the fastback.
this one is different than our original part.
we spent all week to modify it for a larger intercooler and then we will start surgery on the rear clam to remove the center section.

the bulk of the car is in pieces as we fabricate some race bushings and set the suspension up for slicks.

Hi guys! Gabe, glad you got the Forum back up. It would have been a crime to lose all of this institutional knowlege. I'm old enuf to remember "the day." Back in the day, you didn't worry about your files crashing. The only worry was the file room catching fire!!!

Update: Hoover is, as we speak, trailering the car down to me. Yes, it's true: the man does not sleep. He left Livermore at 3:00 a.m. Anyway, I will go to Buttonwillow Saturday afternoon to seat the new brake pads and rotors and take a bunch of easy laps to see how the car feels. Then on Sunday, it's a track day with Speedventures. Weather is supposed to be perfect, so I'm fired up. We'll see how she runs!!!!

Why yes, I do. How nice of you to notice! Hoover also cryo-treats the pads. I'm running Carbotec XP12 on the fronts, XP10 on the backs.

I just got the car back from Hoover a half hour ago. I know we removed the eBrake and all rear wheel attachments. We also put replaced the rotors there too, but I didn't notice what was there. You can ask Hoover.

For those of you that don't know, Grapeman, he races his Noble in the SoCal pac.
Only a few races left this year and we trail only behind a few points for first place in Super Production Category (basically unlimited, run what ya brung).

Wonderful! The more, the merrier. Next Fontana race is January, the kick off for the 2013 season.
