Dear Noble Forum members,
We take great pleasure in announcing the birth of our new brand. The long anticipated announcement is here. As a token of our appreciation for your support over the years, we have decided to debut this announcement here before it goes out to over 400 press outlets. Without further ado here it is: ROSSION AUTOMOTIVE ANNOUNCES WORLD DEBUT OF THRILLING NEW ROSSION Q1 Rossion Q1 Redefines Supercar Landscape Offering Ultimate Performance in Luxurious Road Car, Perfectly Suited for Street or Track CINCINNATI, OH (July 11, 2007) Rossion Automotive proudly announces the worldwide debut of their new supercar, the Rossion Q1. The move into production for the Rossion Q1 began after 1G Racing acquired both the intellectual and design rights for the Noble M400 and M12 platforms earlier this year in February. While further stressing the performance aspects that made Noble platforms such a startling success, the new Rossion Q1 incorporates dramatic design and a comfortably refined interior to create a versatile supercar that mesmerizes on the road as easily as on the track. We are extremely proud to launch the Rossion brand with the introduction of the new Q1, says Rossion Automotive Vice President Dean Rosen. The Q1 is about achieving the very highest possible levels of performance and blending them with luxurious touches traditionally absent from cars of this caliber. The Rossion Q1 is for the enthusiast looking for a refined road car that pushes the limits of performance in every way. The Q1 offers one of the most superb driving experiences available with a wide array of the highest quality comforts with available options including satellite navigation, power mirrors, hand-stitched sumptuous interiors, and high-grade sound system. The sensuously-styled body covers the fiery power of the Q1 with a suggested drive train offering a visceral 450-horspower and 400 ft. lbs. torque. To maximize performance, the mid-mounted engine is set into a feather-light frame offering a slim total weight of under 2,500 lb. With 0-60 mph times posting an ethereal 3.2 seconds, a daunting 11.4 second quarter mile time with well over 1G of lateral track skid pad, and a blisteringly fast top speed of 185 mph, the Rossion Q1 will offer even the most accomplished drivers a truly world class driving experience. Available with one of the most versatile high-performance packages available today as a component vehicle, the Rossion Q1 will be hand built in limited numbers at the same 380,000 square foot production facility the M400 was produced. The Rossion Q1 chassis will have a base price just under $69,000 (U.S.) minus drivetrain. Owner completed cost with suggested drivetrain Base price $90,700. Initial orders are now being accepted for the Q1 with first deliveries set for later this year. Please visit the new website at www.rossioncars.com to see images, and to see what we have in store for the future. We have been working very hard these past 8 months to create this brand, and we want to thank all of you for your feedback and developmental ideas that have gone into the making of the Rossion Q1. Rest assured that there will be continued and uninterrupted parts and service to our Noble owners out there. We are all fortunate to be owners of a Noble. We are all special in that we own one (in some cases two) of 220 M12s or M400s that will ever be sold in the USA. Car number 220 will be retained by us and displayed in our facilities for all to see. The M400 and M12 will forever hold a special place in our hearts because this incredible supercar launched us into the future. We would like to welcome all of our Noble owners into the Rossion family. We will be more than happy to answer any and all questions that you may have, but please be patient with us, as the next couple of days are going to be extremely hectic! We will respond to you as quickly as we possibly can and would prefer that you email us at info@1gracing.com. Have a great day! Sincerely, Dean Rosen & Ian Grunes Owners of Rossion Automotive |

New studies in engine management found that charge air coolers simply rob power and cause interference drag and induction back pressure with their convoluted plumbing, which reduces performance. They are simply not needed, exactly the opposite of what we all thought was true. 50 HP was gained by simply removing the charge air cooler.
NAAAA! Just kidding. The cooler is in the same old place, but fed by a new set of intakes that get some energized air. See, the body was not re designed just for fun. It was done change the airflow characteristics around the bodywork, in response to owner input from the existing fleet of Nobles. The nose is different, especially on top, and it is a little higher. See, while every one was fiddling with the tunnel to correct the problem of hot air entering the passenger compartment with the windows open, the real problem was that hot air was entering through the open side windows, directly from the radiator duct on the hood. This was the primary source of the interior warming with the windows open on a hot day. It was also reducing the air flow down the sides of the car that could be used for engine cooling. So...notice the subtly reshaped front wings which take the air and gently drop it down the sides of the car, into the side ducts that are larger, and no longer need scoops. This improves oil cooling (complex front mounted or water/oil coolers wont be needed for hot track days), engine cooling and allows for a more organized flow of air through the engine compartment. Try to understand the amount of development that went into just this one element of the design. It was the driving force behind the entire body shape. Plenty of testing and computer modeling went into this one aspect. Some of you had suggested scoops in the B pillars. This made some sense as the space was there, and the air flow across the side glass would be well organized, so a new B pillar was designed, and scoops incorporated to feed the charge air cooler and intakes. Heat migrating forward into the passenger compartment from the front turbo will no longer be a problem, as the improved airflow reduces the air pressure in the engine compartment. Hot air will be going out the rear, as it is supposed to. The center tunnel, which was never intended to be a cooling duct, still is not a cooling duct, and the turbos remain water and oil cooled. You can see the cascade effect here. First, fix the hot air coming in through the windows, then the airflow down the sides, then the engine cooling and the windows that don't retract all the way... Every body panel had to be changed. 'Looks pretty nice, I think. Last edited by S.J.Morgan : 07-11-2007 at 10:19 AM. |

That puts an end to the rumors, I guess
.Congrats and Good Luck with the release. Hopefully you'll be able to have one at the Monterey Historics weekend next month to do a little "show and tell" for the W. Coast.

The changes to the car look great. Very well designed for function and looks. On the subject of hot air entering the car... There very well may be hot air coming in through the windows as you suggest but let's not kid ourselves here. The primary source? I don't think so. My shift boot developed a decent size hole in it early on so I am able to feel the temperature of the air flowing through the tunnel directly. That thing blew extremely hot air with such force it was amazing. After the tunnel cooling changes Seth made it was cool air only and the difference in interior temperature was incredible. Sure maybe there could be hot air entering through the windows but I know what the primary source of interior heat was on my car and I know what fixed it.
